About Me

I was born in Quincy, Illinois. Spent my childhood in many places: Illinois, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas VI, Casper, Wyoming,Scottsdale, Arizona. Married, three children, one Yorkshire Terrier, one Yorkshire TERROR, a very supportive husband, and let's not forget one scary Amazon parrot who shares our lovely home on Chesapeake Bay.

JOCELYN MILLER NOVELS

TANGLEWOOD PLANTATION: The story of a young woman who gives up her life in Chicago when she inherits a antebellum plantation in Georgia. What she doesn't count on are the spirits that beckon her to the 19th century and the Civil War, where fate takes a drastic turn and a 150 year love story rekindles....

In a continuation of Tanglewood Plantation, "TANGLEWOOD PLANTATION II, ADVENTURE IN THE EVERGLADES",  the hapless slave Cherry, is kidnapped by a deserting Yankee soldier in 1864, and forcibly embarks on a treacherous journey with her captor. In present day, Cherry's distant cousin, Summer Woodfield, is haunted by Cherry, and embarks on her own journey to discover Cherry's fate. Her journey ultimately leads her to the portal to 1864, where she joins her cousin on the treacherous journey from Savannah to the Everglades of Florida, and all the adventures in between.

BROKEN CHORDS:  A mountain girl's life is shaped by the abandonment of her mother, ill-fated love, and the fortitude with which she must trudge forward to mend the broken chords of her family. This story is based on true events, and is a tribute to women who discover their inner strength through adversity and reign triumphant at the end of the journey.

Thanks, Katrina. I'm so glad you've enjoyed the first two books in the Tanglewood Trilogy. I have been working on Tanglewood III, but paused for research in New Orleans. In July, I will continue the work until the book is finished. I, too, look forward to the adventure! Thanks so much for leaving a note and stay tuned!

I have just finished reading your second book in the Tanglewood series and as with the first one I was sorry it ended. I love Summer and the imagination she follows. Living in Tennessee and having been to some of the historic plantations near my home I love how in your books you are able to contrast the living conditions of our time wiht the conditions of years gone by. Good Job and can't wait for book three.

Thanks so much Shdlila. I certainly hope that you will enjoy Tanglewood III as much as you enjoyed I & II. I promise to work my best writing magic to make it an exciting and fun story.
